Eve Torres Quits WWE

As WWE prepared for their 20th anniversary of their flagship television program, Monday Night Raw, there has been a developing backstage story that indicated the now former WWE Diva’s champion, Eve Torres, has given her notice and is expected to finish up with the company immediately following this evening’s broadcast.

For those watching the 20th anniversary show as of press time, Torres dropped the WWE Diva’s championship to Kaitlyn during Raw’s second hour – a move that lends credibility to the rumor that has been stirring all day.

Earlier in the year, Torres hinted that her days were numbered as she was burnt out from being on the road so long, and planned on settling down to get married. While it doesn’t comes a much of a surprise, it does appear to be an abrupt decision considering the lack of talent on the Diva’s roster and the fact that she was the titleholder.

**UPDATED**

WWE has now broken the story on their website and has confirmed that Eve Torres has “quit” the company. While it may appear as a storyline, do not expect to see Torres return in the near future, if at all. This is the WWE’s way of “creatively” explaining why she is now being written off television without disclosing any personal details regarding her decision.

Torres joins The Bella Twins, Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix – all of which parted ways with WWE in 2012. The Diva’s roster is slimming down at a rapid pace.

PWI End of Year Awards

WRESTLER OF THE YEAR – CM PUNK (47%)
Runners –Up: Sheamus (16%), Austin Aries (13%) and John Cena (8%)

CM Punk deserves this nod for a 2nd year in a row. 400-plus days as WWE champion he‘s been bringing prestige back to the concept of being a title holder.

My problem comes with the runners-up. Cena dominated the main event position in 2012 without ever holding a championship, and lost a good bulk of his matches…. No argument on Austin Aries, as it was his year to prove the critics wrong and an opportunity for TNA to build a home-grown star…. Sheamus? Did anyone really care to watch his matches? He’s getting better, but not Wrestler of The Year better….. Where was Dolph Ziggler on this list? – arguably WWE’s best in-ring performer? Where was Bobby Roode? – arguably TNA’s most valuable player in 2012. And where is at least one name from Ring of Honor? – who still focuses on giving a wrestling product to wrestling fans.

TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR – KOFI KINGSTON & R-TRUTH (18%)
Runners-Up: Daniels and Kazarian (17%), Kane/Daniel Bryan (13%), and Samoa Joe/Magnus (7%)

Why? Kofi and Truth were a team for a hot minute. What makes their union worthy of the recognition. They’re not even a team anymore and haven’t been for months. Shouldn’t a REAL team stick together?

Daniels and Kazarian missed the top spot by 1%, and it is well deserved… Kane/Bryan deserve their spot because of their success and how over they are with the fans, but at the same time, their gimmick is that they shouldn’t even be paired together…. Same goes for Joe/Magnus – not a real team, just a bastard child of the “creative has nothing for you” family…. Where is Benjamin and Haas who have dominated Ring of Honor? Where are the guys like Steve Corino and Jimmy Jacobs, and The Briscoe Brothers?….Where is Epico and Primo? – A real team who won the tag titles, work as a team, look like a team and still is a team?

MOST POPULAR OF THE YEAR: JOHN CENA (29%)
Runners-Up: Sheamus (20%), Randy Orton (18%), and Jeff Hardy (17%)

Cena is not only the face of the WWE, he’s the face of the business…. Hardy is the face of TNA, likely because he is a former WWE superstar and it’s in TNA’s nature to whore the celebrity built up in the WWE Universe…. Orton is popular, I don’t know if I would rank him that high as MOST popular in 2012, considering that he spent a good portion of the year on the DL, or suspended for wellness violation.

Sheamus is great addition to the roster and a quality competitor, but I don’t see him as popular as some may think. Even as champion, Sheamus isn’t selling out crowds or closing out pay per view events. CM Punk is a heel, he’s more popular. Daniel Bryan has a catch phrase that blows the roof off arenas. Ryback may be new, but he’s growing into a phenomenon. And did we forget the return of The Rock? Not as popular huh?

Did anybody else notice I couldn’t even name another popular TNA wrestler who is in demand on global scale? Perhaps because one of TNA’s greatest flaws is that they don’t work hard enough to make their stars household names.

MOST HATED OF THE YEAR: CM PUNK (40%)
Runner-Ups: Bobby Roode (14%), Alberto Del Rio (10%) and Kevin Steen (7%)

Perhaps I’m taking this too literal, but shouldn’t “hated” mean…HATED? So when it comes to this award, why not nominate talents who legitimately get booed?

CM Punk is the perfect wrestling antagonist… Bobby Roode shouldn’t be on this list, simply because not enough people watch TNA to hate him…. Alberto Del Rio spent a good portion of the year on the DL, and his feuds were meaningless…. Kevin Steen is legit contender for this award, and in my opinion, the REAL winner for 2012. I don’t watch ROH regularly enough to critique his work as a heel – but his overall look and style had some fans in an uproar when he became the ROH champion. “This fucking guy??? He doesn’t even look like a wrestler!!!” Now that’s what I call HEAT!

Surprisingly, Cena didn’t make the list. I guess there weren’t as many “Cena Sucks” chants as I thought I heard…. Vickie Guerrero didn’t make the list…. WWE creative could have easily made the list because the quality of the product in 2012 was beyond abysmal…. And where is Bully Ray’s nomination?

FEUD OF THE YEAR: ACES and EIGHTS vs. TNA (24%)
Runners-Up: Cena vs. Rock (17%), Punk vs. Bryan (12%) and Adam Pearce vs. Colt Cabana (9%)

Who voted for this, when (say it with me) NOBODY WATCHES TNA! I love the TV show Sons of Anarchy as much as the next person and I think it’s cool to come up with a gimmick and storyline inspired by it – but it has to be effective. This is a perfect case of “great idea/poor execution”.

Rock/Cena was by far the most heavily publicized feud in YEARS! And you know what made it so effective? One full year of hype, and ONLY one match. It made me a fan again…but just for a flickering moment.

Punk/Bryan wasn’t really a feud in my opinion. It was more a series of indy dream matches on a grander scale. The problem is, it was wasted. Punk/Bryan would have been the perfect scenario to unify the titles as the main event of Wrestlemania. Hopefully WWE creative takes note.

I’m so happy to see Pearce/Cabana recognized here. Not only is well deserved, but it proves that the indies are alive and well, and that there is always opportunity to reinvigorate the territories. I wish I could have witnessed each and every encounter of their best of seven, “Seven Stages of Hate” series for the NWA title, because this is what REAL pro wrestling is made of. The story was told in the ring, and the reward was the glory of the gold. While I’m not a big fan of gimmick matches like street-fights, first blood, etc., I would have definitely been emotionally engaged because it was part of their story that drew upon their hate. These were the type of matches and feuds that occurred in the small territories where my only source of coverage was the “Apter Mags”, such as PWI. Matches and feuds like this were the reason I bought magazines and became so well versed in the art of the business. That’s what this feud was…art. And hopefully, its recognition will intrigue a younger generation to explore the indy circuit, ask about the days of territories, order back issues to see how it was all done before the curse of sports entertainment. I know it’s asking for a lot, but should it happen, don’t thank me – thank Adam, Pearce and Colt Cabana.

Rounding out the winners were:

Match of The Year: Triple H vs. Undertaker (End of An Era at Wrestlemania)
Woman of The Year: AJ Lee
Most Improved of The Year: Ryback
Comeback of the Year: Jeff Hardy
Inspirational Wrestler of The Year – Jerry Lawler
Rookie of The Year: Veda Scott

What are YOUR thoughts on this year’s PWI winners and runner-ups? Who do you think was snubbed? And what is your perception of where wrestling magazines have their place in 2013?

Don’t forget to COMMENT, LIKE, SHARE and SUBSCRIBE. If you don’t …Elbows may have to be dropped!

“WHY INDEPENDENT PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING IS IN THE CRAPPER

By Gregory Iron

I love wrestling. But it seems like there are too many people out there who claim to “love” professional wrestling, make themselves a part of this business, and have no understanding on how to be PROFESSIONAL.

One of the main reasons independent professional wrestling is in the crapper is the so-called “promoters.” Do not get me wrong. There are some great dudes out there that try the best that they can to put on solid events. Sadly, there are far to many guys out there that attempt to run shows with no wrestling experience, no wrestling background, no knowledge on how to run ANY entertainment event, no promoters license (which is required in the State of Ohio, but the Athletic Commission doesn’t take wrestling serious enough to pay attention to all these fly by night promoters/promotions), and, perhaps most important… NO MONEY!

I have been in professional wrestling for over six years now. Wrestling is how I support myself and my family. I have worked very hard to meet the level of success that I have in this profession through hard work, determination, sacrifice, and through being wise enough to follow in the foot steps of guys who had success before me. Can you believe, though, that TO THIS DAY, I get messages and e-mails from “promoters” who legit try to offer me TWENTY DOLLARS to drive several hours to their “show”…? Of course, most of these e-mails are poorly written and just all around amateur looking in the first place. My real pricing is very reasonable for being one of the more known independent wrestlers WITH a unique character, and I feel it is not much to ask.

When “promoters” are not offering me pennies to wrestle, there is the other guy, for which I will show you an example of today.

When you have been in wrestling long enough, you begin to see that what people SAY will happen and what will ACTUALLY happen are two greatly different things. Do you know how many times I have been offered flights to Japan, England, Australia, California, among other places…? Would you like to guess how many times I have wrestled in said places…?

Two months ago, a local “promoter” messaged me inquiring to book me. Everything was written so badly, I figured there was NO WAY that this show was going to occur. I shot the guy a price anyway, and I was “booked.” In my head though, I would have instantly took another booking had one come along, as the “promoter” never contacted me further after our first conversation. It was not until earlier this week that Matthew Justice contacted me, informing me that I was on the flyer, was I reminded of this event. The show flyer had some pretty legit names, like myself, Michael Elgin, Shark Boy, Facade, HENTAI, Jason Gory, among others. I thought, Wow, I guess this show is going to happen.

The show, UNDERGROUND REVOLUTION WRESTLING (great name) was to take place in Cleveland, Ohio, about 5 minutes from my house, tonight. Here is the conversation I had with said “promoter” last night. Please take in consideration that I deal with stuff like this FAR TOO OFTEN:

ME:
Is everything still good for tomorrow? What time should I get there?

Thursday
6:42pm
Hunter Kaufman

Sorry been running around today couple of sponsors dropped out because of weather so asking family and friends for money to cover i understand your pissed i am pissed going to try to do the show

6:53pm
Hunter Kaufman

Yes i am not a dick i cant control the weather if your off i understand but i am going to try to do the show

6:57pm
Gregory Iron

Okay. I did not say I am off the show, nor did I say anything about the weather. I am saying while I live close to the venue, there are several guys traveling hours to wrestle for you, and expecting to receive pay. So I am asking you if you have informed people on the show that you may not be able to pay them..? Because if that’s the case, you are going to have a lot of very angry wrestlers to deal with, who will probably beat you up pretty badly.

7:03pm
Hunter Kaufman

Sorry dude just tying to do to much

I am contact poeple as i can and doing what i can

7:05pm
Gregory Iron

So you are canceling the show..? I am looking on the buildings website now and your show is not even listed in the events.

7:24pm
Hunter Kaufman

7:33pm
Gregory Iron

Ok… this is the part where you tell me what time to show up.

7:39pm
Hunter Kaufman

I cant grenty you the money at this sec thats why I am being i honest man tell you if you want out i understand

7:45pm
Gregory Iron

Alright. “Grenty” is not a word. In fact, most of the stuff you have attempted to type cannot even be considered sentences or complete thoughts. I do not want out. I left this date opened because you booked me for a show. Now, you are creating an unfortunate situation for me, as I could have taken several other bookings in which I could have been paid. What I want is the money I asked for, and the opportunity to perform on your show. If I would not have taken the time to write you, would you have even informed me that you do not have money to pay anyone..?

7:52pm
Hunter Kaufman

Yes thar’s what i am was doing and not trying to be a dick and do the right thing and not waste your time as soon as i know

9:00pm
Gregory Iron

But you HAVE wasted my time anyhow. It’s literally the day of the show and I could have taken other bookings. Are you going to be at the venue??

9:01pm
Hunter Kaufman

show is died give me more awhile and i will send you a money order

9:02pm
Gregory Iron

I shouldn’t give you any time because you owe me money TODAY.

9:05pm
Hunter Kaufman

I am being horest and offering to pay give me a brake all the other guys are understandable

9:07pm
Gregory Iron

You are only being “honest” because I called you out. You owe all of us money for wasting our times and forcing us to try to read any of your poorly spelled messages. This is very unprofessional.

9:12pm
Hunter Kaufman

dude first off i can gave you a long list of wrestling i have talk to before and after you and BTW it my plan to play people when i get it half understand and will take the money others are saying it cool and working togeather in the furture

9:16pm
Gregory Iron

Talking like a tough guy would be taken more serious if you could type better than my four-year old cousin with autism.

9:18pm
Hunter Kaufman

Sorry to have wasted your time and have a nice life.

9:21pm
Gregory Iron

I will have a great life, especially knowing that I am a 26 year old man who TECHNICALLY HAS BRAIN DAMAGE that has better writing skills than a 32-year-old hilljack from “Vegas.”

Hunter Kaufman stopped writing at that point. If Mr. Kaufman tries to “book” you or someone you know for a show, please keep in mind this man is a complete tool, with no higher than a second grade edumacation.

CM Punk: Best In The World DVD Review

If you follow my writings or know a little bit about my history, you’d know that CM Punk is not a favorite of mine. About a year ago, I wrote an article entitled, “CM Punk is a F*cking Douchebag”, which talked in detail about the time I had the opportunity to work with him while I was the booker at NWA Cyberspace.

For the most part, I got a ton of heat from the fans. Mostly ass-kissers who were telling me to stop whining like a little bitch, yet those same ass-kissers have never done ANYTHING in this business to even warrant an opinion. I told it exactly the way it went down, and what my dealings with the future WWE champion was like. It’s a true story, and even though I was the employer and he was the employee, most fans marked out and took the side of their hero. Personally, I could care less. It is what it is, and at the time, it was business – something a mark wouldn’t understand.

The reason I bring that up is because I don’t want any reader of this review to think that I am somewhat (if not fully) biased towards my review of CM Punk’s new WWE DVD release, “Best In The World”. Like my previous story, I am here to tell it like it is. My job is simply to observe and report – no more, no less. I kept an open mind when watching the DVD and was professional enough not to let my own personal experiences blur the lines of my integrity. With that said, I think you’ll enjoy my review and perhaps find a few surprises along the way.

My review is a lengthy 3,500 word piece that dissects the DVD down to the core. My opinions are that of my own, and as critical as they may be, you can’t deny the brutal honesty that comes within those words. As much as I’d like to say that this review was an opportunity to go on a full scale rant on CM Punk, it simply isn’t. Surprisingly, I learned a lot through this DVD, and by its end, perhaps I gained a new-found respect.

By now, many of you fans may have seen the DVD yourself and have an opinion of your own. I encourage you to share your reviews with this community. Feel free to open the floor for debate. As you will read, I took this of reviewing CM punk’s DVD seriously – not because I needed something new to write about, but to reacquaint myself with a memory that I have disliked for many years. It was an opportunity to either bury the hatchet or push in even further. You be the judge.

Do You Remember When…?

Ringsidehustle.com

Last Monday was the 1000th episode of Raw. It definitely didn’t disappoint. So much occurred that it left us in awe and anticipating what will happen next week.  There have been so many great moments in Raw history. Whether it be Raw’s first episode, Stone Cold stunning Vince for the first time, John Cena getting drafted to Raw, Punk’s epic shoot promo, Edge and Lita’s live sex celebration, or countless others. It’s easy for any Wrestling fan to pick a moment the majority of the fans already remember and talk about it, but that’s not how we do things around here. This week I’m taking a moment that not many of you would possibly remember. It deals with Santino Marella and perhaps the greatest IC Champion of all the times.

Do you remember when Santino had the Honk-a-Meter?

Candid Video with Wrestling Superstars at Big Event in NY

You gotta hand it to Brian Barth and Sports Fan Promotions! When someone drops the ball, Brain and his team is there to pick it up, run with it and score!

After the disappointing news a few weeks back that The Big Show wrestling convention in East Elmhurst, NY had been cancelled, Brian immediately stepped it to bring the event back from the dead and made it a show that New York wrestling fans will not forget. How often do the fans of The Big Apple get the opportunity to meet and greet their favorite superstars from yesterday, today and tomorrow? Thanks to Sports Fan Promotions, the event came off without a hitch and every fan in attendance left 100% satisfied.

While DieHard Derek is usually known for conducting in depth one on one sit down interviews that ask the legends the burning questions others are too afraid to ask, the atmosphere in Elmhurst didn’t allow him the face time due to the overbearing crowd noise and Philadelphia radio station that was broadcasting live from the show. But again – Brian Barth found a way to make it happen!

As DieHard stood outside the hotel ballroom that was hosting the event, Brain started to bring out wrestling legends one by one to give the rolling camera a little face time. In this video, you’ll see cameos from Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Greg “The Hammer” Valentine, Jay Lethal, The Amazing Red and Jessica James – as the talent candidly interacts and praises each other for their contributions to the business.

Now word around the campfire is that Slyparadox website owner Katie has a thing for Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Apparently, there is a booty squeezing story that we all need to hear. So I would advise all of you loyal readers of this website to hound her and find out exactly what this story is all about. Knowing Jake, he probably tried to whip out the one-eyed snake. Hopefully she’ll tell us soon enough!

Larry Zbyszko Responds To and Buries Chris Jericho on Comments Made in His New Book

Talk about some funny shit…. Take a look at the self proclaimed living legend (with Rogaine in his hair) trying to bury WWE mega star and world class entertainer, Chris Jericho, over comments made in Jericho’s new book.

Larry Z is being egged on by the douchebag behind the camera, the obvious John Cena mark sitting at the table and the dirty rat who looks like she just cleaned herself up after an all night gang bang in Larryland with his crypt-keeping friends. I guess this is what some people have to do to stay relevant in the business.

36 Minute Interview with Diamond Dallas Page

Whenever I get the chance to hang out with my buddy Diamond Dallas Page – you can bet that the time limit will exceed the length of any normal interview. It’s been a while since I had the chance to see Diamond Dallas Page in person and while we remain in contact, I always find myself amazed at his motivation and dedication to stay active and take on a slew of new projects while finding time to help others and make a difference in the lives he touches.

You may all know DDP as the former WCW Champion who headlined multiple pay per views against the infamous n.W.o, and at times with help from celebrity tag team partners such as Karl Malone and Jay Leno. But since retiring from the ring, DDP has actively pursued a career in professional fitness through his own designed Full Impact Workout System (originally designed as YRG – Yoga For Regular Guys). At his age, Dallas is still able to run circles around some of the youngest and most fit athletes competing in the business today. But as I mentioned before, Dallas’ passion isn’t just about bettering himself – it’s about helping other people better themselves.

In the first part of this interview, Page discusses his recent projects and some of the inspirational stories of how he’s been a part of some of his fans physical life changing experiences.

This post is sponsored in part by Five Towns Apartments & Sea Cliff Homes For Sale

Now, I’m sure that there are plenty of you out there who remember when DDP was rocking the wrestling world and dropping his opponents in the middle of the ring with his patented Diamond Cutter. So maybe his latest ventures into the world of health and fitness might not necessarily be your cup of joe. All you’re interested in is hearing about “wrasslin'”… I hear ya. I know you’re thinking to yourself, “Come On DieHard. We’re talking to DDP! Don’t get all Oprah on us! Let’s get some dirt from the squared circle”.

As if I didn’t know you any better – that’s why I split this interview up into two parts! Part two of our sit down covers some highlights of the twilight of his career, but we also spend time talking about the death of his close personal friend Chris Kanyon, the failed WCW Invasion angle and some insight on some of the new stars of this wrestling generation such as Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. Now it’s time for you to feel the bang!

Interview with WWE Star Booker T

Right before Booker T decided to return to the WWE, DieHard Derek had the chance to sit down and talk with one of the most decorated wrestlers in history. In this 20 minute interview, Booker T discusses some of the things that interested him and inspired him to get involved in the wrestling business. He recalls his first match in the WWE with former WCW alumni Buff Bagwell and the botchfest that ensued during his debut. Booker shares some thoughts on the ill-fated WCW invasion angle and how he worked harder to make sure that his career didn’t carry the stench. What you’ll enjoy the most is Booker’s side of the story as he discusses the backstage altercation between himself and Batista during a SummerSlam promo shoot, as well as the night that he accidentally called Hulk Hogan the “N” word on a live telecast.

After watching this video, you grow to appreciate how decent and humble of a human being Booker really is and how he exudes nothing but positive energy to the people he works with and the fans that he works for. It will be interesting to see how Booker T adapts to his new roles in the WWE as a trainer on Tough Enough and as an eventual color commentator. Don’t be too fast to shake your head at the thought of Booker behind the mic. Aside from him having a great mind for the business of pro wrestling – think back at how many other former pro wrestlers and managers became legends behind the mic such as Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby Heenan and Jesse Ventura. As long as Booker is able to stray from keeping his dialect vanilla – and what I mean by that is, refraining from giving an insightful opinion and having no quarrels about being opinionated in an effort to verbally push the talent, the product and the company. Then again, in this day and age where Vince McMahon is having a conniption if someone refers to his business as wrestling rather than sports entertainment, Booker may just be better off going with whatever “the man” tells him to say. I’m just glad that Booker T wasn’t associated or affiliated to any organization at the time of this interview, that way he didn’t have to hold anything back in fear of any repercussions. Enjoy the video!

Matt Striker vs. Mike Kruel – Special Guest Ref: Rowdy Roddy Piper

So I’m going through the DieHard Wrestling vault and came across an old treasure.

Back in 2003, I was independently producing content and did some work with none other than WWE Hall of Famer and pro wrestling legendary icon, Rowdy Roddy Piper. He has just released his book “In The Pit With Piper” and I was working with him in producing promotional content for his website.

The Hot Rod ended up spending a couple of days down in New York as we shot a series of exclusive videos for his website and was called in for a personal appearance at a gym in Staten Island. A local indy promoter was building up to his upcoming event and thought that a cross promotion with Piper would help boost the word.

A match was to take place in the small gym, featuring two of their young top stars. One being former WWE developmental talent and FCW champion Mike “The Shooter” Kruel and the other is now known as a commentator on the WWE Smackdown, Matt Striker.

While I working in organizing that Roddy Piper’s appearance went smoothly, I had a cameraman capture the action. Apparently, his eye wasn’t trained well enough to catch the fast paced pro wrestling action, but I was able to salvage the footage by chopping it up into a small highlight reel featuring some fitting rock music.

Prior to the match, the Hot Rod hosted a special edition of his infamous segment Piper’s Pit where he interviewed both participants in a build up to the match you are about to see. Once I can track down that footage – you can be sure it’ll be posted right here along with some more gems that I come across!

Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon – Public Shoot

Ahhhh, remember the good ol’ days when pro wrestling tried to etch itself into the mainstream platform by allowing their wrestlers to go “off-script” and cut shoot promos for the sake of shock value and the inevitable spike in ratings? Those were some damn good days that spawned such classics as Shawn Michaels‘ “Sunny Days” comment to Bret Hart insinuating that The Hitman got some of the Tammy Sytch poon-tang. How about when Eric Bishoff would go on WCW Nitro and give away the pre-taped RAW results including Mick Foley‘s first ever championship win? What about the one that started it all, when the late Brian Pillman called Kevin Sullivan “Mr. Booker-Man”? That literally changed the face of the wrestling game.

So why am I taking this trip down memory lane? Because I stumbled across a little classic that some may not remember – perhaps because by the time this occurred, WCW had been laid to rest and watching the WWE shooting on its own roster didn’t have the same effect as is it did when the shots were fired in the midst of a heated Monday Night War. By the time this little promo came about, Hulk Hogan was wearing red and yellow again, and standing in the middle of a WWE ring. The other little monkey wrench that makes this a questionable classic is probably the flubbed lines that pretty much categorizes this more as a blooper.

In this promo, Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon get it on…in a no-homo way. Then again, that too is questionable since the word “gay” slips from Hogan’s lips during the promo. He actually calls HIMSELF “gay”. Interesting. That explains alot about the mustache. Not to worry, apparently Vinnie Boy forgot he was on live TV and let the word “bullshit” fly out of his mouth. Yet, it’s the shoot-style egotistical banter over who made who that makes this video so intriguing. Hogan proclaims that he built the WWE and McMahon’s fortune, while Vinnie Mac sticks the daggers that he could have had any jabrone play the Hulk Hogan “character”. Yeah, this is so much better than 25 years of watching these two verbally jerk each other off! Can you dig it?

Video Highlights – Former WWE/TNA Star, Jackie Gayda-Haas Wins First Place in Fitness Competition

Call me crazy – but I’m not big on having my women “crazy fit”. I like thickness. I like full figured women. I like women who like to have fun rather than being a gym rat, drinking water all day and eating shit that taste like cardboard. But that’s just me.

So, you remember former WWE diva and former TNA knockout Jackie Gayda-Haas? (Yes – wife of Charlie Haas). Well – now that the wrestling biz is behind her, her new career focus has been competitive bodybuilding.

Yeah – toned is okay, but at the same time there’s nothing sexy about being a tanned bag of bones and skinnier than a hungry Ethiopian. Regardless of your taste – here’s the former wrestling personality winning first place at the recent Bill Grant Fitness Classic in Atlantic City.

***For anyone interested – I also have some GREAT footage of the Bikini Competition!!!

Wrestling Megafest DVD Trailer

The long awaited trailer for the most controversial pro wrestling event in the summer of 2007.

Wrestling Megafest 2007 in Lynbook, NY could be considered the biggest wrestling convention of all-time that no one attended. Unfortunately, this upcoming DVD does NOT tell that story.

While the show was dying a painful death, Scott Epstein of Publicity Managment Services (PMS) hired former NWA Cyberspace/Shockwave booker, Derek Gordon, to capture the event and talk to the legends. But like any wrestling event, there were good guys and bad guys. Some turned their backs to our cameras while others used it as a forum to discuss, educate and vent on the business we know as pro wrestling.

Hosted by newcomer Toddy D. Depalma, the DVD features exclusive interviews with Vince Russo, Sid Eudy, Tammy “Sunny” Sytch, Jimmy Hart, Goldylocks, Luna Vachon, Virgil, Al Snow, Daffney, and the legendary “Superstar” Billy Graham!

After 3 long years, this DVD still awaits its release date.

Remembering Chris Candido

I’ll never forget talking to Chris Candido and telling him that my partner, Billy Firehawk, was thinking about opening a wrestling school in New Jersey and we had wanted him to be the head trainer…. I’ll never forget the infamous match that we put together between Chris Candido and Matt Striker that blew the roof off the house…. I’ll never forget writing my next show where I was planning on giving Chris Candido a push to one of our titles and starting a faction – only to get a phone call from Chris telling me he broke his leg at a TNA taping…. I’ll never forget having to rewrite the show and figure out how to keep his momentum going before he was able to wrestle again…. I’ll never forget the phone call I got telling me Chris Candido had passed away….. I’ll never forget changing the plans and writing the next show as Chris Candido Memorial Show called “No Gimmicks Needed”…. And on that night, we filmed this video where some of the locker room shared their memories of Chris in agreement that we’ll never forget Chris Candido.
